TAAS Action Plan
KoROAD plans the basic design of TAAS, which consists of input management, statistics analysis, spatial analysis and a web service system. KoROAD integrates traffic accident data collected from police, insurance companies and mutual aid associations.
KoROAD constructs the TAAS, install the required software and hardware, and start trial TAAS service over the internet. KoROAD offers a variety of traffic accident information services such as classification by location, road, and the other elements through statistical and spatial analysis using R-OLAP and GIS. KoROAD intelligently upgrades and refines information based on duplicate accident data, adds additional spatial analysis methods, connects the block spot management system and manages the inspection of unattended traffic enforcement equipment.
KoROAD opens the official TAAS service. KoROAD increases the accuracy of the data by reducing missing information from insurance companies and mutual aid associations, upgrading the traffic accident in-depth analysis function, and enlarging the public web service for integrated accident data.
KoROAD will manage road accident in-depth analysis systems and will provide road safety action plans for national, regional and local governments. KoROAD will continuously strive to ensure its function as the National Road Safety Information Hub.
KoROAD ensures the reliability of the formal national statistics through management and integration of road traffic accident information and support policies for making of national traffic safety plans. The TAAS contributes greatly to effective planning of traffic safety measures through offering a variety of information such as traffic accident statistics and spatial information services to traffic administrative organizations. KoROAD supports and reinforce the functions of the National Traffic Safety Information Hub which leads to improvement in the quality of traffic accident analysis and user-oriented statistics.
